Volunteering at Hot U JR - St. Charles
HOT U camps are run mostly by volunteers. Whether you like to work with kids or administratively, we have a variety of positions (and training) to suit every passion and skill set. As you serve, free childcare (KidsZone) is provided for your kids that are not of camp age.

Training is Required. There are 2 dates to choose from, you Must attend one:
Parent/Adult Helper (This position works directly with kids): Helps the professor or small group leader within each class as needed. Is not responsible for leading a small group of kids.
KidsZone (This position works directly with kids): Be part of the team providing care for our HOT U volunteer children who are not in camp.
Youth Helper (This position works directly with kids): Helps the small group leader as needed. This position is specifically for middle school or high school kids who may not be ready to lead a small group alone. He or she must be ready to help at any time throughout the day.
Zone Leader: Monitor hallways, help enforce child protection policy, provide supplies & general support throughout the morning to any of the classes.
Check In/Check Out: Welcome kids and parents at a check-in station before camp begins and help parents check kids out of HOT U at the end of each day. He or she should feel comfortable using a computer and is friendly towards kids and families. Adults Only please.
Greeter/Check Out: Make sure kids are getting in to the correct classes and help parents check kids out of HOT U at the end of each day. He or she should feel comfortable using a computer and is friendly towards kids and families. Adults Only please.
Medical Personnel: (Position Filled) Provide on-site medical help as needed. Must have medical training in order to assist.
Before Camp Set Up: Assist with camp preparation and/or set up the day prior to camp.
After Camp Tear Down: Be part of our tear down & clean up team on Friday afternoon after camp. Consider sponsoring a room to clean.

June 1, 9am-10:30amSmall Group Leader (This position works directly with kids): Responsible for physical, emotional and spiritual well being of a small group of 6-8 children, throughout each day. He or she needs to love God and love kids. Materials are provided for each day. Preparation - both spiritually and practically is a must.
June 11, 7pm-8:30pm
