What is a Community Group?

3 to 12 people meet intentionally to pursue spiritual growth, friendship and support. It's a safe place to study the Bible, share your life, and ask tough questions. Groups meet 2 or more times a month in a group member's home, on the church campus, and in local restaurants.

Why are Community Groups important?

We ask everyone at Christ Community Church to participate in a Community Group because they are central to our mission of making passionate disciples of Jesus Christ.

  • Community Groups have a biblical basis. In addition to Jesus' example of the 12 disciples, Scripture regularly teaches the value of consistent participation in Christian community (e.g. Hebrews 10:24-25). You'll learn the facts about the Christian life, and put them into practice.
  • Community Groups have a practical basis. It's easy to get lost in a crowd. Groups provide relational connections with people who genuinely know you. Groups are also a great place to invest your time and efforts to make a meaningful impact. Everyone in the church body can be cared for and discipled in Community Groups.

How do I connect with a Community Group?

Click on your local campus (listed to the left) to get the connection process started. Try a few groups to find the right fit for you. While groups often "begin" their meetings in September and January, we don't follow a "semester" system and most Community Groups welcome newcomers throughout the year.
