Serving
At Christ Community Church we want you serving in an area of ministry that best fits your unique gifts, passions, abilities, personality and experiences. To help you determine how God has uniquely shaped you for ministry, we encourage you to walk through Pastor Jim Nicodem's Serving Curriculum and find out what the Bible says about serving in the the church and in our community, as well as explore the following five areas to see how God has uniquely created you to serve.
Spiritual Gifts: God gives each believer special gifts that he wants you to use in your service to others.
Heart: Serve in a place that excites you. God has given each of us areas of interest and passion that we naturally seek involvement in.
Abilities: In addition to our spiritual gifts, each of us has also developed natural abilities or talents that can be used in ministry. For example: painting, construction, web design, cooking, accounting, gardening, sewing, etc.
Personality: Each of us has certain character traits, preferences, and dispositions that are part of who we are. We want you to serve in areas that match those personality traits. For example, are you more task oriented or are you more people oriented? Do you like things structured or do you thrive on spontaneity?
Experience: God uses all life events–and their cumulative effect–to mold you into the servant he wants you to be. Even the painful or tragic experiences in your life can be redeemed for the purpose of serving others.
The Serving Curriculum is designed as an 8 week study and can be done individually or in a group setting. The study can be purchased for $5 at Lifeline Bookstore.
