The Plan
Christ Community Church attenders who live east of the Fox River have told church leadership for years that they believed a church like Christ Community located along the Route 59 corridor is needed to reach their friends and neighbors in the communities of Bartlett, Hanover Park, Carol Stream and West Chicago.  After much prayer and a 2009 year-end gift designated for the start of a new campus, Larry Breeden officially began to lead the East Campus Discovery Team in selecting a location and developing leadership for a new campus in this area.  Our hope is that a location can be secured, a Launch Team organized, and weekend services started in the fall of 2010.  Your prayers for this effort is greatly appreciated.

The People
The East Campus Discovery Team has begun meeting and praying for this new campus and we would encourage everyone interested to add their email to list to receive updates for meeting dates and specific prayer requests.  As of Easter 2010, about 90 families and individuals have joined this effort and we would like to see 200 on the Discovery Team in the next two months.  From previous campus launches, we know that it requires at least 150 committed servants to effectively launch a new campus. The Place
The search for a location centers around finding 25,000 to 30,000 square feet that can be divided into Auditorium, Lobby, KidsWorld and administrative offices. Another key ingredient of the location is adequate parking. We are looking at existing vacant commercial properties as well as existing churches in the area that might want to partner with Christ Community as the Blackberry Campus did several years ago. We have not found the location as of Easter 2010, but we continue to search trusting God to make it very clear where He wants us to be.

The Process
Christ Community Church believes that God has called us to serve our community.  The East Campus Discovery Team will begin 2nd Saturday serving projects in April 2010.  Please consider joining us for projects that will express the love of Christ in tangible ways to the communities of Bartlett, Hanover Park, Carol Stream and West Chicago.  People will not care what we know until they know that we care.

The Prayer
Please join us in praying for God's guidance, wisdom and grace as we continue loving God and loving people.  Our mission is to make disciples who are belonging, growing, serving and reaching out in the love of Christ.  Pray for the East Campus to have a spirit of service and love that can be felt when guests walk in the doors.
