By registering for a 2nd Saturday project, you hereby fully release from liability Christ Community Church, its staff, volunteers and ministries, organizations and personal home owners which result from or are in any way connected to your and/or your child's participation in "2nd Saturday" including, without limitation, travel to and from the activity site. You also agree to waive any claims or causes of action you may have against these parties in connection with the foregoing event.

Single Mothers Oil Change-Welcome Team

Fox River Tire and Auto

DESCRIPTION Greet the Mom's arriving to have an oil change and help them fill out forms, get a bit to eat and relax. This project has 2 shifts, oil changes begin at 8 am. 1st Shift please arrive at Fox River Tire at 7:30 am, 2nd Shift please arrive 15 minutes prior to your shift.

Campton Hills Garden Planting

Transportation to this project is the responsibility of the volunteer.

DESCRIPTION Join us as we plant a garden of fresh vegetables that will be donated to area food banks throughout the summer. Please bring work gloves, shovel, and metal rakes. 
WHO CAN SERVE

 Kid friendly, please register children 12 and older, bring the younger ones, just do not register them.

Feed My Starving Children

DESCRIPTION

Fun energetic teams hand pack meals for starving children that are shipped to more than 60 countries around the world.

Kids must be at least 8. Family Friendly, Community Group Friendly

 2nd Saturday; Meets at Planned Parenthood in Aurora at 9am. MAP

If you have a heart for the unborn, join us in prayer at Planned Parenthood. A volunteer will lead you through a prayer guide. DOWNLOAD GUIDE

Food for Greater Elgin

WHEN & WHERE

Meets directly at Food for Greater Elgin, 1553 Commerce Dr., Elgin. 8 am for first timers; 8:30 am for returning volunteers. Please print and fill out this volunteer form and bring it with you to project site. Transportation to this project is the responsibility of the volunteer.

DESCRIPTION

Assist clients through the food choice process and maintain the warehouse as clients shop for their food. Or unload, sort, and place food resources in the warehouse. Some light lifting is required.

WHO CAN SERVE

Family friendly with kids 12 and older. Great for Community Groups.

DESCRIPTION

Sing, enjoy a bible story and play baseball with individuals who have profound disabilities. Volunteers also help transport residents between activities.

Rosewood Care Center

2nd Saturday; 8:15 am, CCC St. Charles campus;  Door K

Transportation to this project is the responsibility of the volunteer.

DESCRIPTION

We'll be joining this nursing/rehab center in a worship service and a game of bingo. Please feel free to bring a picture book or a musical instrument to share with these senior citizens who will truly enjoy the time that we spend with them.
