Registration for August 2nd Saturday will open on Friday, July  21, 2017

By registering for a 2nd Saturday project, you hereby fully release from liability Christ Community Church, its staff, volunteers and ministries, organizations and personal home owners which result from or are in any way connected to your and/or your child's participation in "2nd Saturday" including, without limitation, travel to and from the activity site. You also agree to waive any claims or causes of action you may have against these parties in connection with the foregoing event.

LifeSpring Children's Room Organization

Transportation to this project from the church is the responsibility of the volunteer.

DESCRIPTION We will be cleaning out old toys and replacing with new. Some light carpentry is also needed and sprucing the place up for the kids.

Campton Hills Garden Planting

WHEN & WHERE

Transportation to this project from the church is the responsibility of the volunteer.

DESCRIPTION Join us as we plant a garden of fresh vegetables that will be donated to area food banks throughout the summer. Please bring work gloves, shovel, and metal rakes. 
WHO CAN SERVE

 Kid friendly, please register children 12 and older, bring the younger ones, just do not register them.

Food for Greater Elgin

WHEN & WHERE

Meets directly at Food for Greater Elgin, 1553 Commerce Dr., Elgin. 8 am for first timers; 8:30 am for returning volunteers. Please print and fill out this volunteer form and bring it with you to project site. Transportation to this project is the responsibility of the volunteer.

DESCRIPTION

Assist clients through the food choice process and maintain the warehouse as clients shop for their food. Or unload, sort, and place food resources in the warehouse. Some light lifting is required.

WHO CAN SERVE

Family friendly with kids 12 and older. Great for Community Groups.

Feed My Starving Children

2nd Saturday 8:00 am, CCC St. Charles campus; Door K. The bus for FMSC leaves promptly at 8:15 am

DESCRIPTION

Fun energetic teams hand pack meals for starving children that are shipped to more than 60 countries around the world.

WHO CAN SERVE

Kids must be at least 8. Family Friendly, Community Group Friendly

Marklund Home 

WHEN & WHERE

Transportation to this project from the church is the responsibility of the volunteer.

DESCRIPTION

Sing, enjoy a Bible story and play baseball with individuals who have profound disabilities. Volunteers also help transport residents between activities.

Family & Group Friendly; Kids 14 and older can push wheelchairs-

Rosewood Care Center 

WHEN & WHERE

Please meet at Rosewood, 850 Dunham Road, St. Charles, Il 60174. MAP

Transportation to this project from the church is the responsibility of the volunteer.

DESCRIPTION

We'll be joining this nursing/rehab center in a worship service and a game of bingo. Please feel free to bring a picture book or a musical instrument to share with these senior citizens who will truly enjoy the time that we spend with them.
