Camp Commotion runs daily from May 31st, 2022 (June 6th at DeKalb) to August 5th, 2022, with the exception of Monday, July 4th. The regular camp day is 9AM-4PM, and extended care options are available before (7-9AM) and after (4-6PM) camp.

Do you talk about God and the Bible at camp?
Absolutely! We are affiliated with Christ Community Church and are presented by KidsWorld, our children's ministry. If you want to know more about what we believe, click here.
We include large group teaching that is focused on character building, offer energetic music and dance, and meet daily in small groups to encourage good relationship building with peers and mentors.

 Camp Commotion Policies and Waivers

Can I make a change to my registration?
Requests for changes must be communicated by end of day one week before your camp week begins, and most requests are subject to availability. We cannot change your child's crew at check-in during camp. We can transfer registrations to an alternate week as long as space is available.
These requests can be made by calling us at 630.733.8929 or by e-mail.

What if my child is on a waitlist?
If registration for a specific week or crew is full, then campers will be put on a waitlist. If space opens up, the camper will be moved from the waitlist and offered a spot at camp. If your camper is on a waitlist, you will be notified the week prior to the camp week you are waitlisted for as to whether or not we have space. If you are unsure whether you are registered or not, or have questions about waitlists, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Please click here for our full policy on waitlists.

 Is walk-in registration available?
We do accept walk-in registrations, when space is available, on a first-come/first-served basis. However, please be aware that availability in these circumstances is extremely limited as most weeks of Camp Commotion sell out in advance. Register early to ensure your spot!

What payment options are available for camp?
When you register, you will make an initial deposit of 25% of the total cost of the main camp session(s) for which you are registering. The remaining balance (including t-shirt or extended care purchases) can be paid in full at the time of registration, or split into up to 7 additional payments, depending on the date registered.
If you would like to discuss alternate payments plans, please contact us at 630.733.8929.

What does a typical day at Camp Commotion look like?
Each day at Camp Commotion looks a little different, but you can bet each day will be packed with fun, exciting activities that kids will love. Click here for a sample schedule.

Will my camper do multiple crews in a week, or just one?
Your child will select ONE crew for the week. For example, if they choose Arts & Crafts, that will be their designated crew activity for the week. Each day will have a variety of activities around that theme. However, crew time is only one part of our day - kids will also experience large group music, teaching, free play, and all-camp games. And every Wednesday is our ever-popular Water Day -- where they'll get plenty wet!

What does my child need to bring each day to camp?
Campers should bring a lunch and water bottle every day. Campers can refill their water bottles at camp, but please note there is no refrigerator available, so please pack accordingly. We also recommend bringing sunscreen, as we will spend a lot of time outdoors, even if your camper is not in a designated outdoor crew.
On Wednesdays, we hold our popular Water Day, so campers should bring a towel and a swimsuit in order to participate.

What should I do if I have to pick up my child from camp early?
Please schedule your early pick-up by using one of our early pick-up forms (available at Camp Central or in the drop-off line each morning).  Campers travel extensively around our campus, so early notification of a change in pick-up time is important to help keep our schedule running smoothly.

PLEASE NOTE: For safety purposes, we do not allow early pick after 3:15PM.

Will my camper be leaving the campus for any off-site activities?
We do not leave the campus for special field trips or visits to local pools, as is often typical in day camps. Instead, we bring the fun to camp! There are a few crews -- such as Adventure and Gear Up! -- that leave on foot or bike for short periods of time.

Who are the staff at Camp Commotion?
Led by a full-time pastor, the majority of our staff are high-school and college-age students and all have undergone an extensive review process, including background checks. Additionally, our staff undergoes in-depth training as a requirement for their position and are all certified in pediatric first aid, AED, and CPR. Most of all, they love working with kids!
