Hanson Family Fund
Christ Community Church has set up a fund for the Hanson family. All contributions will go directly to meet two needs: 1) to cover college expenses for Joshua and Cora, and 2) to pay off the mortgage on the family house. Once we reach these goals, the Hanson family has requested that all additional money be given to Faith Comes By Hearing in Eric’s honor. It has been Eric and Carol's passion to see the Bible translated into new languages so that every people group on earth can hear the Good News about Jesus. *Please note: Money donated to this fund are not deductible for tax purposes.
A Meal Train has been set up to care for the family. *New dates have been added.*
Please continue to pray as the family gathers together to remember Eric, but experiences intense grief with their loss.

Updated May 26, 2021
It is with deep sadness that we share that Pastor Eric Hanson went home to be with the Lord today. He passed away in his sleep while on a mission trip in Brazil. His son, Joshua, is with him on the trip, while his wife, Carol, and daughter, Cora, are home here in the states.
His passing was unexpected. Since this happened overnight we do not have any further details to share at this time. Pastor Jim and his wife Sue, along with some staff pastors, are caring for the family. Other pastors and staff are working on the logistics that now need to be handled for us as a family and a faith community to mourn Eric’s passing and celebrate a life well lived for the sake of the Gospel. We ask that you pray for the family.
Funeral service information will be announced at a later time.
