2022 Year-End Gift

2022 YEAR-END GIFT

GIVE SO OTHERS MAY WORK

As part of Christ Community’s year-long focus on Faith at Work, at least 70 percent of the 2022 year-end gift will be given to long-term, trusted partners in Bangladesh, Nicaragua, and Sierra Leone to help those in abject poverty change their family trajectory through meaningful work.

WHAT WILL MY GIFT GO TO?

As part of Christ Community’s year-long focus on Faith at Work, at least 70 percent of the 2022 year-end gift will be given to long-term, trusted partners in Bangladesh, Nicaragua, and Sierra Leone to help those in abject poverty change their family trajectory through meaningful work. Funds will be used in two ways:

1) The majority of the funds will support micro-enterprise programs to help people start their own business. Three of Christ Community’s international partners have microfinancing ministries that provide loans for people seemingly stuck in poverty to start businesses. These programs, which intentionally focus on investing in women entrepreneurs, also provide training, education, and an opportunity for the gospel to be shared. These small loans (often less than $200) mean much more than a steady income, they bring access to education, security, jobs for the family, and so much more. They change lives.

2) In addition, a portion of the gift will pay to add dormitory capacity so more nurses can be trained at a Bangladesh nursing school. Recently, the government of Bangladesh saw that 100 percent of CSS nursing students passed the Government accreditation test. No other school in the country came near that effectiveness. They asked CSS to teach more nurses, but that can only be done with more housing. We hope to raise enough to completley fund the $100,000 construction project that will allow more nursing students to enter the workforce, more families changed, and more opportunities for the gospel to spread.
