Canning Hunger is more than a food drive--it's an initiative with a double impact!
Here's how it works: Knock on the doors of ten neighbors and invite them to donate non-perishable food or household essentials for a local food pantry. Not only will we help those facing food insecurity, it will also open the doors to meaningful conversations with your neighbors!
Materials are available in the Lobby beginning September 27. Bring your collections to the drive-thru drop-off during weekend service October 11.

POP-UP FOOD PANTRY
Help us get the word out! We are partnering with a local food pantry to offer free food at a pop-up market at our campus. Our final fall event is Saturday, October 17, 9-11am. Pick up some invite cards to share with the community, and volunteer to serve at the event.
WEEKEND SERVICES WITH KID K
On October 17 & 18, Christ Community welcomes Cubs great Kerry Wood to weekend services as the 2026 Inspiring Stories interview guest. This special weekend will include three identical, in-person interviews with Kerry Wood at the St. Charles/South Elgin Campus and broadcast live to Christ Community campuses in Aurora, DeKalb, Huntley, Joliet, and Streamwood. He will share reflections on his incredible 14-year major league career, his recent outing with the Savannah Bananas, and the growing role of faith in his life since stepping off the diamond.
Inspiring Stories interviews are part of regular Christ Community Church weekend services, which are always open and free to all. There will be no autograph sessions or meet and greets.

4TH & 5TH GRADE EVENT!
SuperStart is a high-energy, Gospel-centered weekend experience designed to help 4th and 5th-grade students grow in their faith, build lasting friendships, and understand their identity in Christ. It will be hosted at Community Christian Church in Naperville in the evening of Friday, March 5, and the morning of Saturday, March 6, 2027. Buses will take us to the event both days. (This is NOT an overnight event.)
NOTE: The registration date is September 30 so that we can reserve spots for Christ Community's group.
When you register, you will choose to check in and ride the bus from either the St. Charles/South Elgin campus or the Aurora campus.
OVERNIGHT MIDDLE SCHOOL EVENT | OCTOBER 2 & 3
One night. Big games. Epic competition. Worship. Food. And a whole lot of fun! Surge is an overnight event for our Middle School students happening October 2-3 at the Aurora Campus. This year, we're diving into what it means to belong by remembering we are not alone, building real friendships, and living as brothers and sisters in Christ!
Come ready to play hard, laugh a lot, worship together, and learn together!

Christ Community offers a collection of videos and reading assignments that equips people to thrive as followers of Jesus in this local congregation. Taking this course is how people become official members here at Christ Community.
This online membership class is on-demand and can be started at any time. You can start, stop, and pick back up where you left off at your convenience. You’ll get to ask questions along the way and you’ll connect with a pastor for a one-on-one conversation at the end of the course.
NEW TO BIBLE READING?
Have you tried to read the Bible, but got confused or bored, so you stopped? Maybe you’re curious about the Bible, but you’re too intimidated to open it up. Maybe you’ve been to church, and they started talking about Moses or 2 Kings or the epistles, and you had no idea what they were talking about, but you were too embarrassed to ask someone about it.
Getting Started with the Bible is for you. This course begins from the basics, explaining what the Bible is, where it came from, how it’s organized, and what it contains. By the end, you'll also learn a simple approach to reading any passage of Scripture and discovering practical truths you can apply to your life. No prior knowledge of the Bible is necessary.
This online course is available on YouTube and suitable for individual study at your own pace or in a group setting.
