REMIX

Remix is a service designed just for middle school students at Christ Community Church. Remix is open to all sixth, seventh, and eighth-grade students. Friends and visitors are always welcome!

Starting Fall 2022, Remix will be offered during the first Sunday service at DeKalb (9:10am) and St. Charles (9am). Students are permitted to check in at the Hub as early as 8:45 at the St. Charles Campus and 8:55 at the DeKalb Campus. Please help us keep our environments safe and secure by being punctual regarding drop-off and pick-up.

Remix is a time for worship, Bible teaching, discussion, and fun games!

Remix is not meant to replace Refuge, they serve unique purposes and we want to encourage students to attend both. Remix would act as their weekend service participation, and Refuge would act as their community group environment. Just like as adults we attend weekend services and then participate in community groups.

Check-in for Remix is located in the front of the HUB entrance. Students are allowed to check themselves in. For safety purposes, we ask that parents/guardians come into the HUB to pick up their students.

Parents are always welcome. However, we ask that you have a specific purpose for your visit. Visits for observation, exploration of volunteer opportunities, and facilitation of your student's experience are acceptable. All visitors must fill out an adult visitor card and will be given a visitors tag. Only ministry staff, volunteers, and approved visitors (all with name tags) will be allowed in the HUB during Remix.

We encourage students to bring a Bible, notebook, and pen. If your student prefers to use their phone or a digital device to read the Bible and take notes, that’s fine too. We do ask that students refrain from texting, web surfing, social media, and gaming during our time together. As of right now, the HUB cafe will not be open for purchases. Please do not bring large quantities of money, your own video games, drugs of any kind, or anything that might be construed as a weapon. We also ask that students refrain from wearing clothing that would be offensive, distracting, or immodest in a church environment.

Preregistration is not required to participate and there is no cost.

Refuge, is our weekly ministry throughout the school year Wednesdays from 6:30 pm to 8:15 pm. In addition, the middle school ministry hosts three one-day events during the summer, a major outreach event in the winter, and a summer camp at SBR.

Our primary means of communicating information about programs and events are e-mail and our student events page. Program updates and event announcements are posted and e-mailed regularly. It takes a large and diverse team of adults to pull off Remix. Participation can range from weekly to monthly. Needed skills include teaching, tech, security, and shepherding. To get involved, please fill out the form at the link below.
