Prayer update:

My husband Shaun is recovering well after having a cancerous nodule removed from his left lung on 4/1. Today he had a video call with the medical oncologist for his other cancer. Chemo has been scheduled, and will begin next Friday, 4/17, at Rush University Medical Center. Because of the nature of this treatment, he has to stay there for 3-4 days! Please pray that the chemo will do its job and help kill these cancer cells. We know God is in control, but it’s really hard to not be scared. Please keep our daughter Cailin lifted up as well, as this has been hard for her to comprehend. We are trying, and we know God is fighting this battle with us. Also, please pray for financial peace, as the medical bills keep adding up!

I am asking for prayers for my Dad. A job he just quit still owes him his missing paychecks- he’s been missing his paychecks well over a couple months. Thank the Lord he has another job right now but I see him stressing over money all the time and I pray that at the very least he gets his money back from his old job. I also ask for prayers for my Dad to grow his faith in Christ and to let the Lord guide him. Thank you.

Suzie

A year after my sister was diagnosed with Cushing’s, her Dr was going to remove her adrenal gland, but in pre-op testing, they detected probable cancer on her liver. Biopsy scheduled next Tuesday.

Also her granddaughter, who was born a micro premie and miraculously is now 17 years old, has pneumonia and was air lifted to Riley’s in Indianapolis due to her complicated medical history.

Thank you for lifting them up in prayer.

Update: My friend, Jenny, is being treated for breast cancer. She has had months of chemotherapy, which is now completed. The tumor has shrunk enough to do a lumpechtomy. Her surgery is Friday, April 17. Please pray for successful surgery and strength for Jenny. For healing and recovery. Thank you.

My sister’s husband, Mike, passed on Easter Saturday. She just flew home today and is quite overwhelmed but doing fairly well. Please pray for my good friend who suffered a concussion 3+ weeks ago and is still dealing with waves of headaches and occasional nausea. It is effecting his eyes(sharp pain sometimes) and ability to focus on tasks he needs to do.. Asking our Heavenly Father to relieve the pain and the stress and heal him completely soon!

First steps in answered prayer

On March 30th, I asked for prayer that my 85-year old parents would be reunited in assisted living and that God would bring wisdom and clarity to my dad about selling their house and giving up his car.

This weekend my sister and I are going to Wisconsin to start moving Mom from a studio to a one-bedroom in assisted living! Please continue praying for my Dad, as we work through some plans to help with his car this weekend.

My father-in-law, Joseph, from Christ Community Church DeKalb, fell around 4 PM yesterday hitting the back of his head on a cement planter. He has a brain bleed and a broken neck. We called 911 and he was taken to the hospital where he was transported to a medical center for emergency surgery. We ask for prayer for the surgical team, healing hand on Joe and for his wife Lois and the family. Thank you.
