I have a prayer request for health concerns. I have had some alarming symptoms and just ask for prayers for healing and that it would not be anything serious as well as wisdom for the doctors. I recently joined Rooted. As part of the the program this last Thursday was fasting and an hour of personal prayer time. Part of my fasting prep was no alcohol for me starting last Tuesday after work so I wouldn’t be too dehydrated for my Thursdays fast. The hour of prayer time at Rooted hit me hard. It will be 7 days of no alcohol in about 2 hours. This last Sunday’s sermon with inclusiveness about illness and disabilities, I am not just an alcoholic. I am a child of God who is battling alcoholism and want to be better. What a week for communion for me. I wept after accepting it.

I can do this with my prayers.

My wife had surgery two weeks ago to have her toes amputated, due to diabetic complications, she is still hospitalized and started to develop another wound on her heel. Please pray for her surgical wound to heal, and the one that started to develop heal up also. Please pray for a speedy recovery and rehabilitation with no further complications and her return home soon.

Our infant son has an appointment with a pediatric ophthalmologist today at 12:40 for an eye issue I’ve noticed. Please pray for a positive outcome, that his issue is benign and that he requires no intervention and that I will find peace with whatever the outcome may be.

I ask for prayers for my brother who’s struggling in school. He struggles due to his academic ADHD and has a hard time turning in assignments. He seems to not care for schoolwork and tries to avoid it which disappoints our parents. I love him so much and pray that he gets support to learn and lift his grades. Please pray he can find a good way to become organized and learn.
