The Aurora Interfaith Food Pantry

Food is central to our culture. Yet there is a growing problem in the United States as nearly 40% of the food produced here is thrown away! That’s an astonishing amount of waste. Thankfully, the Aurora Interfaith Food Pantry recognizes that problem and has worked to find their solution. Their staff makes many trips each week to collect perfectly good food from wholesalers, farmers and grocers to distribute to the local community in need.

Fortunately, the Aurora Food Pantry has maintained a solid volunteer base and group of generous donors throughout COVID! God has sustained them and they are still able to distribute food in a registered, drive up fashion where people are able to pick up boxes of food that should carry them and their family through the week. With that said, they are still accepting donations! Any help is appreciated.

The staff has even had opportunities to pray with their volunteers over the food that they distribute to the community. They continue to thank God for the people, supplies and strength to continue their mission of helping end local hunger by ensuring that everyone has access to enough nourishing food.
