Domestic Ministry
DOMESTIC MINISTRY
Did you know that in addition to mobilizing International Go Teams, we also mobilize our church to serve within the United States? Natural disasters and poverty, both spiritual and physical, are evident throughout the country. These circumstances can bring to light how truly lost we are without the Good News of Jesus Christ.
When Jesus instructed us to “go and make disciples,” he asked us to do this in our own backyards and to the ends of the earth. Domestic Ministry is an opportunity to go in faith to the in-between of these two locations.
DISASTER RELIEF EFFORTS
Here at Christ Community, 10% of our regular ministry giving to the church goes to Community Impact (CI) and International Impact (II). Not only does this provide ongoing support for our CI and II partners, but that also means that we have funds available when disasters or emergencies occur. When something happens we can respond quickly and provide additional financial support to the appropriate partner. For most domestic and international disasters our partner, Samaritan’s Purse, is one of the first organizations on the ground. We have found them to be an incredible partner who not only provides for the immediate needs of those in peril, but is fully committed to sharing the good news of Christ and coming alongside people spiritually in their most vulnerable time. Additionally, Samaritan's Purse has ample opportunity for us to be directly involved by sending volunteer teams to the disaster sites.
So, if you are a giver to Christ Community, thank you because a portion of your giving supports disaster relief.
