FAQs - REGISTRATION
Requests for changes must be communicated by end of day one week before your camp week begins, and most requests are subject to availability. We cannot change your child's crew at check-in during camp. We can transfer registrations to an alternate week as long as space is available.
These requests can be made by calling us at 630.733.8929 or by email at campcommotion@ccclife.org.
If registration for a specific week or crew is full, then campers will be put on a waitlist. If space opens up, the camper will be moved from the waitlist and offered a spot at camp. If your camper is on a waitlist, you will be notified the week prior to the camp week you are waitlisted for as to whether or not we have space. If you are unsure whether you are registered or not, or have questions about waitlists, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
We no longer accept walk in registrations.
FAQs - PAYMENT
When you register, you will make an initial deposit of 25% of the total cost of the main camp session(s) for which you are registering. The remaining balance (including t-shirt or extended care purchases) can be paid in full at the time of registration, or split into up to 7 additional payments, depending on the date registered.
If you would like to discuss alternate payments plans, please contact us at 630.733.8929.
FAQs - DAY TO DAY AT CAMP
Each day at Camp Commotion looks a little different, but you can bet each day will be packed with fun, exciting activities that kids will love.
Your child will select ONE crew for the week. For example, if they choose Arts & Crafts, that will be their designated crew activity for the week. Each day will have a variety of activities around that theme. However, crew time is only one part of our day - kids will also experience large group music, teaching, free play, and all-camp games. And every Wednesday is our ever-popular Water Day -- where they'll get plenty wet!
Campers should bring a lunch and water bottle every day. Campers can refill their water bottles at camp, but please note there is no refrigerator available, so please pack accordingly. We also recommend bringing sunscreen, as we will spend a lot of time outdoors, even if your camper is not in a designated outdoor crew.
On Wednesdays, we hold our popular Water Day, so campers should bring a towel and a swimsuit in order to participate.
Please schedule your early pick-up by calling or emailing to arrange this or by picking up an “early pick-up form” at Camp Central. Campers travel extensively around our campus, so early notification of a change in pick-up ime is important to help keep our schedule running smoothly. PLEASE NOTE: For safety purposes, we do not allow early pick after 3:15pm.
FAQs - SAFETY
We do not leave the campus for special field trips or visits to local pools, as is often typical in day camps. Instead, we bring the fun to camp! There are a few crews -- such as Adventure and Gear Up! -- that leave on foot or bike for short periods of time.
Led by a full-time pastor, the majority of our staff are high-school and college-age students and all have undergone an extensive review process, including background checks. Additionally, our staff undergoes in-depth training as a requirement for their position and are all certified in pediatric first aid, AED, and CPR. Most of all, they love working with kids!
