Send One

Why Send One?

What Does It Mean to Send One?

In Bangladesh and India, small house churches (on average 5-8 people) send missionaries to parts of the country where there are no house churches. They have created a sustainable model of sending those from their own groups to go and make disciples. The house church gives and prays for one member to go. They, together, send one.

Christ Community's Send One campaign similarly challenges us to go and make disciples. Each of us is part of some group at Christ Community--maybe a Community Groups, a serving team, a sports team, your family, etc. What if each of these groups identified one person in your group to pray and give so they can GO to the unreached?

Send One Tips

○ Send One does not limit your group to JUST sending one. There could be a couple that go. Or the whole group. Send many!
○ If you are a “veteran” in a particular ministry, ideally try a new place or serving opportunity!
○ Remember: A great benefit of this is cultivating new leaders for the future.
○ Maybe your group might adopt a “sister” house church or missionary partner that you are connected to. Adopt a local ministry, or church partner. It could include possible communication, prayer, and other non-tangible support. We are not looking for this to be a financial support system.
○ Upon return from your GoTeam trip, serving, or volunteer experience, the person sent will be able to provide detailed first-hand experiences to their group, thus
encouraging the group to “send another”. Or, the one who went might choose to go again, to another partner location or volunteer opportunity.
