St. Charles/South Elgin Community Impact
SERVE IN ST. CHARLES/SOUTH ELGIN
We’re called to serve one another (Galatians 5:13); a simple command with countless layers.
As Christ followers, one of the greatest opportunities to impact lives is by serving. The strategy of Community Impact is to create opportunities and be a conduit for God’s people to serve others in the community. We firmly believe that good deeds pave the road over which God’s good news travels.
Community Impact is focusing on the concept of Serve One Another:
Serve one time.
Serve once a quarter.
Serve once a month.
CAMPUS PARTNERS
Beautiful U
Beautiful U is passionately committed to serving our community and the surrounding Chicagoland area as a Christ-centered, "family-style" intervention program for single mothers. Christ Community supports Beautiful U through our annual Baby Bottle campaign and group serving projects.
Safe Families
Safe Families for Children hosts vulnerable children and creates extended family-like support for families facing a crisis through a community of compassionate volunteers whose goal is to keep children safe and families together. The majority of children hosted are younger than 6 years of age, and 95% return to their parent or a relative who is in a better position to care for them.
CASA Kane County
CASA Kane County is a Guardian ad Litem, a nonprofit volunteer organization that advocates for the best interests of children in abuse and/or neglect cases within the Juvenile Court system. They recruit, train, and case manage community volunteers who serve as Court Appointed Special Advocates/Guardian ad Litem (CASA/GAL) who become the crucial voice for children in foster care from birth to age 21 until a safe, permanent home is found.
