St. Charles/South Elgin Campus Students
WEDNESDAY NIGHTS
RESTARTS AUGUST 27!
At the St. Charles/South Elgin Campus, our students come together during the school year on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:15. Students are assigned to a consistent small group and leader their first night, where they will be with the same students, organized by age & gender, each week. Friends and new students are always welcome. Most weeks consist of time for socializing, teaching, worship, small group discussions, games, and snacks.
Students in grades 6 through 12 are all in the building at the same time for Rufuge. However, we run three different programs that all happen concurrently, with the students separated by age group. The first program is designed for students in 6th to 8th grade. The second is for 9th -11th-grade students, and a separate program is offered for students in 12th grade to help them prepare for life and faith beyond high school.
The 6th-8th, 9th-11th, and 12th-grade programs come together for the worship portion of the night, but each of the three groups has its own teaching and small group time.

SUNDAY MORNINGS
Middle School Students in grades 6-8 are invited to REMIX during the 9:00 service. Remix is designed to be a developmentally appropriate weekend worship experience just for middle school students. Similar to what happens in the auditorium, we gather for worship and bible teaching, but since we are doing this for middle schoolers, we throw in a lot more games than they do in the auditorium! No need to register, just show up and bring your friends! Students are permitted to check in at the Hub as early as 8:45.
STAY CONNECTED
To stay up to date on all things that are currently taking place in Student Ministry, including resources and content that we will make available to parents and students, make sure you sign up for the following things:
Refuge Cell Phone Policy
In an effort to help students engage most fully with God, Scripture and the peers and leaders in the room with them, we have put the following guidelines in place for our Refuge environment.
📱Cell phones should be put away during the following times: worship, teaching and small group discussions.
📱We will discourage the use of digital Bibles and note taking. Students should bring a hard copy NIV Bible and paper for notetaking. We are happy to help students buy their own hard copy Bible if necessary and we certainly have Bibles available to use at Refuge.
📱Cell phones can be used during the hang out time. However, we encourage students to value communication and engagement with the leaders and other students present over their cell phone use.
