St. Charles/South Elgin Campus Students

WELCOME STUDENTS

At the St. Charles/South Elgin Campus, there are weekly environments and special events for middle and high school students. Check out both below.

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS

At the St. Charles/South Elgin Campus, our students come together during the school year on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:15. Students are assigned to a consistent small group and leader their first night, where they will be with the same students, organized by age & gender, each week. Friends and new students are always welcome. Most weeks consist of time for socializing, teaching, worship, small group discussions, games, and snacks.

Students in grades 6 through 12 are all in the building at the same time for Refuge. However, we run three different programs that all happen concurrently, with the students separated by age group. The first program is designed for students in 6th to 8th grade. The second is for 9th to 11th-grade students, and a separate program is offered for students in 12th grade to help them prepare for life and faith beyond high school.

The 6th-8th, 9th-11th, and 12th-grade programs come together for the worship portion of the night, but each of the three groups has its own teaching and small group time.

Refuge dates: August 27, 2025 - May 6, 2026 | Please register below.

SUNDAY MORNINGS

Middle School Students in grades 6-8 are invited to REMIX during the 9:00 service. REMIX is designed to be a developmentally appropriate weekend worship experience just for middle school students. Similar to what happens in the auditorium, we gather for worship and Bible teaching, but since we are doing this for middle schoolers, we throw in a lot more games than they do in the auditorium! No need to register, just show up and bring your friends! Students are permitted to check in at the Hub as early as 8:45.

Refuge Cell Phone Policy

To help students fully engage with God, Scripture, and each other, we ask that:
📱Cell phones are put away during worship, teaching, and small group discussions.
📱 Students bring a hard copy NIV Bible and paper for notes rather than using digital devices. We're happy to provide Bibles or help students purchase their own if needed.
📱 During hang-out time, students prioritize face-to-face interaction over phone use, though phones may be out during this time.
