Ride For Hope

A RIDE FOR THE VULNERABLE

Commercial sex trafficking isn’t something that happens in other towns and neighborhoods. It happens in our towns and neighborhoods. And 70% of the victims are women and children. Traffickers prey on the vulnerable and lonely, using any means they can to trap victims, causing feelings of fear and helplessness.

Christians are called to help the abused and vulnerable. That’s why Christ Community Church and Community Impact are supporting Naomi’s House through our third annual Ride for Hope fundraiser on June 8, 2024, open to families and cyclists of all ages and experience levels.

Our goal of $125,000 will fund Naomi's House's Reset program in the Fox Valley Region for an entire year.

ABOUT NAOMI'S HOUSE

Since 2020, Naomi's House has been laying the foundation for a Reset location in Elgin by connecting with the community, local police, and probation departments and doing outreach. Outreach enables Naomi's House to connect with people who are being trafficked for sex right now, build trust, increase safety, and connect them to the resources they need. Naomi's House is excited to share that the 12-month future of NH includes a second Reset Program in Kane County, followed by a second Rise Day Program.

Here's how your contribution can impact the lives of women today:
🚲$50 will supplement a woman’s transportation assistance to and from therapy, doctor appointments, school, and work.
🚲$100 will pay for a woman’s curriculum resources for her healing journey through her individualized therapeutic groups.
🚲$200 will pay for 2 sessions of professional trauma-informed therapy.
🚲$500 will pay for groceries and toiletries for a month.
🚲$1,000 will pay for the celebration of a woman graduating from Reside, our residential program.
🚲$5,500 will sponsor a woman and her complete programming for one month.

THE HISTORY OF THE RIDE

ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY TO FIGHT HUMAN TRAFFICKING

On August 3, the DeKalb Campus is hosting the Aruna Run for Her Freedom. Aruna is an international human rights non-profit dedicated to creating lifelong freedom for survivors of human trafficking. 100% of registration fees help free, employ, and empower trafficked women. There will be a 5K as well as a 1 mile fun run. Grab some friends, lace up your shoes, and let's run together for her freedom.
